We are so proud of one of our fellow CMB Contributors, Trisha Peach, in the release of her brand-new book, Your Children’s Ministry, Beyond Basics. If you had a chance to read her last book, Your Children’s Ministry from Scratch, you know how full of wisdom and insight she is when it comes to children’s ministry (here’s my review of her last book).

In her newest piece, Trisha picks up where she left off in her last work. Here’s the overview of the book:

So you’ve got that kid’s and family ministry off the ground- now what? Go BEYOND. It’s time to tackle the tougher issues of kid’s and family ministry such as confronting bullying in a Christlike manner, staff and parent conflict resolution, special needs kid’s ministry and more. Let the adventure continue!

I asked Trisha a couple of questions about Your Children’s Ministry, Beyond Basics. Here’s what she had to say:

GJ: What inspired you to write this book?

Trisha: Over the years of traveling, consulting and staff ministry, I felt increasingly led to write a practical, interactive resource for children’s leaders covering the every week subjects as well as the tougher topics.

GJ: What do you hope this book accomplishes for it’s readers?

Trisha: My heartfelt prayer is that “Your Children’s Ministry Beyond Basics” will prove to be a great tool for children’s leaders everywhere. Beyond Basics is packed with ideas and insight on special needs kids and family ministry, creating an amazing kid’s worship space, surviving church conflict, making transitions great and much more.
