Do you lead a volunteer-based team, such as a children’s ministry or preteen ministry team? If so, you know that it is extremely important to encourage and compliment your team members’ hard work and efforts.

A trend that has been sweeping social media over the past few years is to set aside days to highlight certain parts of your life with pictures. These days, such as #TBT (Throwback Thursday), #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday), and #MCM (Man Crush Monday), have likely spread virally throughout your friends and followers lists.

For those of you who are on social media, I was thinking that it would be awesome to have a day like #TeamMemberTuesday to highlight either a certain member or several members of your volunteer team each week. You could post a photo of them on your social media account (or even better, your ministry’s social media account) and talk about all the great work that they do for your ministry.

This would be a simple way to say thanks to all of those volunteers who serve faithfully each week. Just be sure to include everyone!
